The crew of Ranger is preparing to hoist the mainsail. Ranger was commissioned by Harold "Mike" Vanderbilt solely for the purpose of defending the America's Cup in 1937. Fortunately, her competition was no match for Vanderbilt's skill and Ranger's speed. From the Edwin Levick Collection.
