DESCRIPTION SITE :

Resolute was launched April 25, 1914 and was the last of the six successful defenders designed by Nathanael Greene Herreshoff. It was the smallest of all the boats built for the 1914 America's Cup. She sailed for the New York Yacht Club, New York and was the successful defender of the 1920 (thirteenth) America's Cup even with a broken mast.
